Rebecca Coyne – Family Lawyer
Rebecca Coyne is a family lawyer dedicated to helping families navigate separation and high-conflict custody matters with clarity, care, and a sense of possibility. Called to the bar in 2000 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School, Rebecca began her career at a respected Bay Street firm, where she first discovered her interest in family law. After several years at the Department of Justice, she shifted her focus entirely to supporting families. In 2019, she founded Coyne Family Law, now Simpson Coyne Family Lawyers, driven by the belief that there has to be a better way. She pursued collaborative law training to help clients resolve disputes more constructively, even in emotionally charged situations, creating space for solutions that truly work for families.
Clients appreciate Rebecca’s compassion, honesty, and ability to bring calm and clarity to difficult situations. She balances her extensive experience with empathy and a healthy sense of humor, helping clients feel supported during stressful times. Outside of work, she is a happily married mother of three, and the proud owner of two hilarious dogs and one exceedingly self-important cat, bringing the same warmth and perspective to her life as she does to guiding families through change.
