Angela Murie – Family Professional

For the past eighteen years, Angela Murie has supported families through separation and high-conflict parenting situations, providing counselling, mediation, and parenting coordination through her private practice. She is fully trained in parenting coordination, working with children resisting contact with parents, and interdisciplinary collaborative family law. Angela specializes in helping parents develop workable parenting plans, reduce conflict, improve communication, and address the challenges that can get in the way of cooperative parenting.

Angela offers compassionate, practical guidance and the ability to keep processes constructive and focused on solutions. She also works with individuals navigating the impacts of abuse, anxiety, identity or purpose concerns, and addiction, bringing a trauma-informed, inclusive approach to her work. Beyond her practice, Angela is a professor in the Bachelor of Social Work and Masters of Social Work programs at Wilfrid Laurier University and has taught at several other institutions. A mother of two grown children and two energetic dogs, Angela combines her professional expertise with a deep commitment to social justice and supporting families in achieving healthier, more collaborative relationships.
